 Our AHSCC PositionsIt is important for us to all come together,and support our new local high school, and the Grossmont Union High School District’s Proposition U. This measure is essential to keep all of our GUHSD East County high schools viable. Proposition U is an investment in our East County economy, and Alpine's local economy. An Alpine HS will be a boon for local business, and for our area's realestate desirability and values. Prop H and U will not only bring Alpine a new high school, it will also provide all Grossmont District high schools with the infrastructure that is necessary to assure a strong future. The district-wide modernized classrooms will help assure success for college-bound students, and the 30 planned magnet career technology centers will assure the best training for non-college bound students. These Propositions have something for everyone, at a cost that is insignificant when weighed against the certainty of increased prosperity, especially for all future East County high school graduates and future parents. An Alpine HS will also strengthen the financial viability of our local elementary schools' (AUSD) for generations to come; helping the Alpine Union School District.
