The AHSCC joint use group is a working subcommittee that is charged with coming up with feasible, detailed ideas on joint uses and facilities for the new high school. In that spirit we will give thought on how areas of joint community uses might look and operate and what sources of funding might be tapped to supplement available Grossmont bond money. We will put these ideas down on paper and prepare to discuss them in detail.
To illustrate, as to the library; Christine Connell will consult with ALFA colleagues to conceptualize what a joint use library might look like, contain, and how it could be jointly used with the school, including employing a mix of volunteers and students. We will not think much about architectural details - we have a great architectural team to help us.
We will focus on concepts, have fun and be creative. All ideas will be considered.
