Bob Kiesling, facilities director of Grossmont UHSD, attended April's (on the last Thursday) Alpine Planning Group meeting. The purpose was to present the summary findings in the Draft Environmental Impact Review.
The 1st page tabulates key findings for each of the 3 primary sites. The Lazy A site poses the fewest environmental restrictions, and it poses the lowest cost to purchase, site development, and to bring sewer, water, roads and power infrastructure to it.
The 2nd page shows a map locating the 3 sites, and tallies current ongoing efforts.
The 3rd page presents the draft project schedule, calling for the new school opening in September, 2013, and lists the first part of Board actions to be taken at its June, 2009 meeting.
The 4th page lists the second part of Board actions to be taken at its June, 2009 meeting, and presents tribal concerns over the discovery of cultural artifacts.
